The Civil Council for the Development of Akkar held a debate on the electoral lists

The Civil Council for the Development of Akkar held a discussion debate aimed at countering the proposals of the six lists in the governorate of Akkar and its electoral programs to increase the level of electoral awareness among citizens within the 2018 Civil Council plan launched in February.

The debate comes two weeks after the first debate was organized by activists Dr. Mohammed Badra and Mr. Omar Ghazi at the committee of the race.

The second debate was held in the Night Star Hall in the town of Mohammerah and was attended by five lists: Akkar women, Lebanon sovereignty, Akkar decision, the future of Akkar, strong Akkar, and the Akkar decision list was absent.

After the national anthem, the presenter, Zeid Hamza, presented the debate by informing the public that this debate is the first initiative of its kind in Lebanon by the civil society for the electoral lists to present their electoral programs for the next parliamentary session. They said that Akkar is the reservoir of human Lebanon, we said yes and a thousand yes, but it is also the fence of the homeland and is rich in elites and talents of first-class employees and rich in mountains and plains.

Nidal Skaff, the candidate for the Orthodox seat, explained that the UNDP regulation addresses the problem of unemployment, which reached 60% among educated and 40% of others. If unemployment is addressed, social problems including drug addiction, early work and early marriage will be solved. Mary El Khoury:

She suggested the creation of a center for the collection of advanced agricultural machinery to reclaim neglected agricultural land, which will provide areas of work for the unemployed.

In turn, the head of the list, Rula Al-Murad, the candidate for the Sunni seat, stressed the necessity of administrative and economic reforms, the implementation of a balanced decentralized administration so that all ministries and government departments are located in Akkar, and work to automate the information in the ministries. The tax should be adjusted to vary according to the income of the individual. It is inconceivable that the owner of the simple income should be equal to the owner of the higher income. Investors in Akkar should be encouraged to reduce taxes on them. R.

She added: One of the most important reforms is reform in the local administrations, ie municipalities, pointing out that the number of municipalities in Lebanon is 1108 municipalities, 400 municipalities have one employee, 87% of the municipalities have 5 employees, 43% of the municipalities do not have employees. The establishment of the Ministry of Local Administration shall be specific to the municipalities.
She then touched on the oil file and stressed that Block No. 2 adjacent to the coast of Akkar is the most important in Lebanon and must invest oil revenues to develop Akkar first and all other regions by placing a sovereign fund belonging to the state and not go into the pockets of officials and leaders.

To solve the problem of slowness in trials, abolish the military judiciary and all exceptional trials, support the Lebanese army and security services only, abolish any illegal weapon within a national plan to protect Lebanon and control the borders, combat waste and corruption, protect the Lebanese labor from foreign workers, and promote investment and create incentives for Lebanese investors. Strengthening the tourism sector, supporting the agriculture sector, and providing job opportunities for Lebanese youth with degrees and others.

Elie Saad:

In turn, the candidate for the Orthodox seat Elie Saad presented a study to solve the problem of waste and how to treat it by setting plants to burn solid organic materials and convert them into gas at a lower cost than landfills and provide zero emissions to the environment.
